Michelin's Silica Technology provides a silica-based rubber compound with shark-tooth sipes to give this scooter tire excellent grip on wet or slippery surfaces. Braking distance comparison testing in 2019 showed the City Grip 2 tyre achieving remarkably short braking distances in the wet. This is a scooter tyre that has been chosen by major manufacturers (eg, Yamaha, Peugeot etc) to fit as OEM tyres on their scooter models.
